Bassford Remele is a full-service litigation firm that devotes its practice exclusively to providing trial and appellate repreesntation for local, national, and international clients in a wide array of business litigation.
The attorneys constituting Bassford Remele’s housing team have substantial experience representing both market-rate and subsidized-housing management companies and owners in all manner of disputes with tenants. They have investigated and defended numerous fair housing complaints filed by tenants in local, state, and federal forums. They regularly appear in housing court on eviction actions. To avoid problems before they occur, they draft leases, handbooks, and other form documents for their clients. They also provide innovative fair housing and other trainings to management companies and owners.
The chair of the team, Robin Ann Williams, frequently serves as course chair or speaker at seminars concentrating in housing law. While serving as a Visiting Clinical Professor of Law at the University of Minnesota Law School, she headed a housing law practice in which law students represented clients. Robin was formerly a housing attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis - making Robin and the team familiar with “the tenant’s perspective.” To facilitate efficient and effective resolutions, they have built professional working relationships with legal aid attorneys and other tenant advocates.
