Biography
Leah Boomsma focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, drawing on more than 10 years of experience with appeals, dispositive motion practice, expert collaboration, and jury trials to her clients.
As an accomplished litigator, Leah represents businesses and individuals in a variety of commercial disputes, including general business and litigation matters. She represents businesses in personal injury, property damage, and product liability defense, including matters involving railroads, utilities, and other regulated industries. Leah has litigated through trial and appeal multi-million-dollar cases, including prosecuting a property damage case with an at-risk amount in excess of $350 million. She was also part of a litigation team involved in the complex removal of more than 40 cases to federal court in actions arising from a $500 million mass tort, ultimately securing favorable judgment through dispositive motion and affirmance of that dismissal on appeal to the First Circuit. Leah has also handled numerous appeals in state and federal courts. Prior to practicing law, Leah worked for a premier electronic medical records (EMR) provider and has in-depth technical knowledge and experience with EMR systems.
Leah graduated summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law. Before entering private practice, Leah clerked for the Honorable Kermit E.
