Ema Lynn Smith

Ema Lynn Smith is an attorney whose practice focuses on professional liability, and health care and employment law.

A graduate of the University of Washington School of Law, Ema brings strong research, writing, and dispute resolution skills to complex litigation and health law matters. She has experience supporting attorneys in medical malpractice and employment cases, including researching and drafting memoranda, assisting with deposition and case strategy, and conducting document review and analysis during discovery.

Ema has a particular interest in health law and regulatory issues. She updated and revised the Washington State Hospital Association’s Hospital and Law Enforcement Guide to Health Care Related Disclosures and its Signage and Notice Guide to reflect changes in state law, helping hospitals maintain clear, practical compliance resources. She also contributed research and identified emerging legal trends to support updates to the eleventh edition of The Law of Healthcare Administration by Showalter and Sanford.
