Steve Plunkett Receives DRI Distinguished Achievement Award
Bassford Remele is pleased to announce that attorney Steve Plunkett has received DRI Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee’s Distinguished Achievement Award. The award recognizes his exceptional service, leadership, and long-standing contributions to the Committee and its education programs.
Steve has held numerous leadership roles with DRI. He served on DRI’s Board of Directors from 2021 to 2024, chaired its Law Institute from 2018 to 2020, and during his Law Institute tenure oversaw national seminars on long-term care, medical liability, and related health care law topics. He also chaired DRI’s Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee and its Long-Term Care Subcommittee and led the planning committee for DRI’s 2019 Annual Meeting.

Steve concentrates his practice in health care and sexual misconduct defense and brings more than 35 years of experience as a litigator and trusted counsel. He represents health care providers and other organizations in complex, high-stakes matters. DRI previously honored him with the Thomas Segalla Excellence in Education Award in 2021.
