Mark Whitmore Named 2024 Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year”

Best Lawyers® has recognized Bassford Remele shareholder Mark R. Whitmore as its 2024 “Lawyer of the Year for Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants” in the Minneapolis area.
Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year,” making this accolade particularly significant. Mark was selected based on impressive voting averages received during the peer review assessments. This is the second time Mark has received this honor.
This selection reflects the high level of respect Mark has earned among other leading lawyers in the Minneapolis area for his abilities, his professionalism, and his integrity. In addition to the “Lawyer of the Year” award, Mark was also listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Health Care Law.
Mark is a trial lawyer who represents and counsels health systems and other businesses and professionals in litigation, risk management, licensing, governmental investigations, and compliance matters. In addition, Mark regularly represents other businesses in litigation involving commercial disputes, products liability, and employment matters. He also serves as Bassford Remele’s Chief Executive Officer.
