As the Managing Shareholder of Bassford Remele’s Sioux Falls office, Barry leads the firm’s efforts to deliver exceptional service to clients throughout South Dakota and the surrounding region. His approachable leadership style and entrepreneurial mindset foster collaboration and strategic thinking across the firm’s business and litigation practices.

Before entering private practice, Barry built a career that spanned multiple disciplines—including serving as a business owner, chief financial officer, in-house counsel, and assistant county attorney. His hands-on understanding of business operations, combined with his legal acumen, allows him to deliver practical, results-driven guidance in every engagement.

Barry represents clients across a wide range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, agriculture, food production, banking, digital assets, real estate development, technology, and government relations. His practice focuses on business development, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, estate planning, probate, and mediation.

Throughout his career, Barry has served as lead counsel on numerous eight-figure transactions and development projects. He also has extensive experience advising agricultural businesses on risk management and federal regulatory issues, including work related to compensation and insurance solutions during the Avian Influenza epidemic.
