Biography
Cameron Lallier’s practice focuses on representing banks and other financial institutions in matters involving workouts, bankruptcy and the enforcement of security interests. His practice also includes representation of chapter 11 debtors.
Cameron represents financial institutions in commercial loan transactions and the restructuring of troubled loans. He has represented a variety of asset-based lenders and equipment lenders in chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Cameron also represents many other financial institutions in both commercial and consumer regulatory and compliance issues such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Cameron also has experience working with purchasers of various companies and assets from chapter 11 debtors. He has worked with bankruptcy trustees, creditor committees, and trade groups in a variety of cases both in chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court workouts.
Cameron recently served as the Chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association Bankruptcy Section and as the Chair of the Bankruptcy Section’s Pro Bono Committee. Prior to practicing law, Cameron worked in the commercial collections field. He is a graduate of Hamline University School of Law.

Representative Cases
- Served as debtor’s counsel for the chapter 11 case of Rancher’s Legacy Meat Co., and successfully litigated the avoidance of a secured creditor’s lien, assisted the debtor in obtaining a PPP loan while in an active chapter 11 proceeding and completed a sale of the assets of the debtor which allowed for the successful continuation of the business operations and the retention of all employees of the debtor. In re: Rancher’s Legacy Meat Company, Bky. No. 19-32928 (Bankr. D. Minn.).
- Obtained $1.15 million jury verdict for an international church in a seventeen-day property damage trial; successfully collected approximately $2.6 million, including pre- and post- judgment interest.
- Represented one of the twenty largest unsecured creditors in the chapter 11 case of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis; instrumental in the formation of a separate creditor’s committee to represent the interests of archdiocesan parishes and negotiated the favorable treatment of client’s claim within the framework of the debtor’s chapter 11 plan.
- Served as counsel for the Unsecured Creditors’ Committee in the chapter 11 case of Pawn America, resulting in a distribution of more than $1,000,000 to unsecured creditors.
- Successfully represented a commercial equipment lessor, in a case of first impression in Minnesota, obtaining a favorable ruling from the Eighth Circuit’s Bankruptcy Appellate Panel regarding the allowance of client’s administrative expense claim pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 365(d)(5). In re Sylva Corp., 519 B.R. 776 (8th Cir. BAP 2014).
- Successfully defended litigation seeking to set aside mortgage foreclosure sale. McGlory v. CitiMortgage, Inc., et al., 558 Fed. Appx. 709 (8th Cir. 2014).
