Holly N. Lechner

Biography

Holly Lechner is a litigator whose practice focuses on lawyers’ professional responsibility, health care, and intellectual property law. Before pursuing her legal career, she worked in the law department of a Minnesota nonprofit health care provider and insurance company, where she gained valuable experience proofreading contracts and drafting legal responses.

Before joining Bassford Remele, Holly supported clients in the intellectual property litigation practice group of an Am Law 200 firm. She has experience investigating infringing websites and domains and collaborating with partners and clients to develop enforcement strategies, including sending demand correspondence to website owners, domain registrars, and web hosts. Holly has participated in Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings by conducting research and drafting pleadings. She has also drafted discovery requests and responses, as well as client alerts related to intellectual property. Holly’s broader litigation experience includes drafting pleadings, managing discovery, preparing for trial, taking depositions, and researching and drafting motions. She is passionate about providing high-quality service to her clients and works diligently to achieve favorable results.

Holly earned her J.D. summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, she honed her leadership skills as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and excelled academically, earning the prestigious Burton Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and multiple CALI Awards, including those for Business of IP, Trademark Law, and Intellectual Property Litigation.
