Biography
Wynne Reece is a corporate and intellectual property attorney who brings strategic precision, real-world business experience, and forward-thinking legal leadership to her clients’ most important decisions.
Wynne is Chair of Bassford Remele’s Corporate Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. She represents business owners, executives, and boards across a wide range of industries in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, trademark and brand protection, investor strategy, team structuring, and outside general counsel work. Her clients range from emerging entrepreneurs to multi-generational businesses and investor-backed ventures.
Wynne is uniquely positioned to advise growing companies: prior to joining the firm, she founded and sold two businesses, giving her firsthand insight into the operational, emotional, and financial challenges that come with building a business from the ground up. In 2015, she launched The Creative’s Counsel®, a legal platform designed to deliver accessible, high-impact counsel to innovative founders and small business owners. Since its inception, Wynne has advised over 2,000 businesses nationwide.
Although her legal career has included litigation, Wynne’s focus is on preventing disputes before they arise—helping clients build resilient legal and operational foundations for sustainable success. She brings a rare combination of legal acumen, entrepreneurial instinct, and creative problem-solving to every engagement.
A respected thought leader, Wynne has served as an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, chaired the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Mock Trial Program, and has spoken on entrepreneurship, inclusion, and legal innovation. She maintains a longstanding commitment to pro bono service, contributing more than 150 hours annually, and previously founded a pro bono legal clinic in North Minneapolis.
Wynne continues to be recognized for her leadership, community service, and impact as a business advisor. Her practice is defined by excellence, authenticity, and a belief that good counsel is not just legally sound—but strategically indispensable.
