Biography
Lauren Nuffort represents lawyers, health care providers, businesses, and individuals in complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on professional liability and high-exposure tort claims.
She defends lawyers in legal malpractice and professional responsibility matters, health care and long-term care providers in medical malpractice claims, and individuals and businesses in personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, property damage, and other civil claims. Lauren takes a practical, strategic approach to litigation, evaluating risk early and developing focused strategies aligned with each client’s goals. She guides clients through discovery, motion practice, mediation, trial preparation, and resolution.
Lauren is an active contributor to the legal community, regularly writing and presenting on litigation, professional responsibility, and insurance coverage-related issues. She is co-editor of the Minnesota Insurance Law Deskbook and serves on the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association Board of Directors and as a Council Member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Professionalism and Ethics Section.
Lauren was named the 2027 Minneapolis Lawyer of the Year for Professional Malpractice Law and Legal Malpractice Law – Defendants by The Best Lawyers in America©. She has also been recognized by Minnesota Super Lawyers and has received the President’s Award from the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.
