- 1:10-1:45 | Minnesota Paid Leave, Workers’ Comp, and AI: What Health Care Employers Need to Know
- Minnesota’s new Paid Leave law, evolving workers’ compensation standards, and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence tools are reshaping how health care employers manage employees and risk. This session, taught by employment and health law attorneys, will unpack Minnesota’s Paid Leave program, key workers’ compensation developments—including the Minnesota Supreme Court’s recent decision in Ludwig v. Dakota County on hybrid era injuries—and how expanded benefits intersect with return to work and accommodations. Speakers will also explore how administrative staff are using AI tools like ChatGPT, what that means for confidentiality and discoverability, and how to design peer review and “flag and assess” processes that keep your organization out of trouble.
