Experienced family law attorney expands firm’s counsel for complex financial, custody, and divorce matters
Bassford Remele is pleased to announce that Andrew Hunstad has joined the firm as Counsel in its Family Law practice group.
Andrew represents clients in sophisticated family law matters involving complex finances, business interests, retirement assets, custody issues, and post-decree disputes. His experience adds depth to Bassford Remele’s growing Family Law practice and strengthens the firm’s ability to serve clients navigating significant personal, financial, and family transitions.
Known for his practical judgment, attention to detail, and command of financial issues, Andrew advises business owners, executives, professionals, and spouses in matters where thoughtful strategy and careful analysis are essential. He has particular experience with high-asset divorce, non-marital property claims, closely held business interests, income analysis, spousal maintenance, and the division of retirement assets through Qualified Domestic Relations Orders.

He works closely with clients to help them understand their options, protect their interests, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Andrew earned his J.D., cum laude, from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and his B.S. from South Dakota State University.
